Backflushing the AquaPurr

If you notice your AquaPurr flow rate diminishing, or stopping completely, it may be experiencing some blockage in the AquaPurr internal plumbing.

Your AquaPurr plumbing features an orifice plate, the tiny green thing on my fingers.  An orifice plate is simply a plate with a hole in it.  The purpose of the orifice plate in the AquaPurr is to reduce both the water pressure and water volume coming out the spigo.

This tiny hole of the orifice plate can get blocked by sediment and would then slow the flow of water through the AquaPurr.

Backflushing steps

1.  Remove the spigot

2.  Remove the supply tubing from the AquaPurr

3.  Hold the supply tubing in where the spigot goes

4.  Hold the AquaPurr over the sink

5.  Turn the faucet on for a few seconds

6.  Reassemble the AquaPurr

Hopefully this cleared the errant sediment from the orifice plate.

Removing tubing

Hold the collar back while pulling the tubing in the opposite direction.
