Like all great inventions, AquaPurr began as a labor of love. Steven Chalmers came home one day to find his wife soaking wet and their recirculating cat fountain in pieces on the floor. The heavy, wet, awkward device had slipped from her hands and crashed to the floor as she was cleaning it. It had always been a pain to dismantle and wash the fountain weekly, but this was the final straw. An engineer by trade, Steven immediately set to work finding a better way to provide their cat—who, of course, wouldn’t drink from a bowl!—with fresh, running water.
It didn’t take long for Steven to create his first prototype, which he tested out on his eight-year-old cat, Pouhka. After some focus groups with her, Steven tweaked the design and eventually perfected the fountain. Thanks to hard work and dedication, cats and cat parents around the world now enjoy the kitty activated AquaPurr fountain. The AquaPurr is a cat drinking fountain that sits next to your sink and connects to your faucet using a diverter valve - your faucet supplies water to the AquaPurr.
When your cat steps close to the AquaPurr, they activate the AquaPurr's motion sensor that triggers water flow from the AquaPurr spigot.
