Faucet Aerators – What to Know

5 videos on faucet threads and adapters.

How do I decide which adapter I need?

You don't need to worry about which adapter you need when you order your AquaPurr.

The diverter valve fits most faucets.  If it doesn't, then you will try the three adapters that are included with the AquaPurr.

If the three adapters don't fit, then you will contact me and I will walk you through the process of determining which adapter I should send you.

Removing various aerators

Hidden aerators require the use of a key to remove them.  Use one of the 4 colorful plastic keys included with the AquaPurr to remove this type of aerator.

If you have this type of aerator, contact me when you order your AquaPurr and I will substitute the set of adapters you receive.

This aerator may be removed by hand or may require a pair of pliers.

An adjustable wrench or a pair of pliers work well to grab the two flat spots on opposite sides of this type of aerator.

An aerator with a slot like this can be removed using a coin inserted into the slot.

Which way do I turn the aerator to remove it?

Aerators are removed by turning them clockwise, (looking down on them from above).
