Why AquaPurr

From the first moment your cat drinks from a recirculating fountain, that fountain is growing slime. All cat water fountains are the same, except one...

The AquaPurr NEVER needs cleaning because it does not recirculate water and instead the AquaPurr flows fresh water from the faucet.

You NEVER clean or refill the AquaPurr. Your cat always drinks cool, FRESH water.

Using both batteries and the power adapter means you are covered in the case of a power failure.  The batteries will take over when the power adapter is not delivering power.

Faucet diverter valve

Advantages

Connecting to the faucet with a diverter valve is probably the easiest water connection option.  

Disadvantages

Requires turning the handle on the diverter valve back to the AquaPurr position every time you use the faucet yourself.

Challenges

There is a maddeningly large number of variations of faucet threads.  I can handle 99.9% of them but it may take a bit of work to get the right adapter.

Plumbing tee valve - 3/8"

Advantages

Fairly easy to install, and, you won't have to change the handle position once it is installed.

Won't affect anything else connected to that shut-off valve.

Disadvantages

There are no real disadvantages to this installation.

Challenges

1) Not all shut-off valves allow the flex line to be removed.  

2) Some older shut-off valves use a different type of 3/8" compression connection.

Requires turning the handle on the diverter valve back to the AquaPurr position every time you use the shower yourself.

Just confirm that your shower head has a 1/2" pipe connection.

This valve will have no effect on the toilet tank being filled or the faucet.
