Unplug the fountain
Pick the fountain up off the floor
Empty the water into the sink
Disassemble the entire fountain
Remove the pump
Prepare a cleaning solution
Put the pump in the cleaning solution
Run the pump for a few minutes
Put the pump in fresh water
Run the pump for a few minutes
Put the pump back in the fountain
Reassemble the fountain
Fill the fountain with water
Carefully put the fountain full of water on the floor
Plug the fountain back into the wall
What a PAIN!
